Speakers

Ivan Brehm is chef-owner of one Michelin-starred restaurant Nouri, established in 2017, and creative interdisciplinary space, Appetite, established in 2020). He is recognised for developing a system of thought, called Crossroads Thinking, of which cooking is a part of.

Adeline Kueh makes installations, photography and socially-embodied works that reconsider our relationship with things and rituals around us. Using drawing as a conceptual tool, Adeline looks to cartographies, craft and oral tradition to map out the historical trajectories across time and space through her use of found objects and new productions. As a co-founder of the Critical Craft Collective, the centrality of craft in contemporary practice and the politics of care have become increasingly important in the collective’s push towards creating the Craft Council of Singapore.

Born to scientists, Yen Phang’s practice is attuned to genetic legacies and biological processes. His current preoccupations focus on system/pattern noise, slowness, and metabolisms. He was a recipient of the Winston Oh Grant (2016), the Winston Oh Travel Research Award (2016), and the Cliftons Art Prize (2015). His work has been collected by the Singapore High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Singapore), and British Airways for their Terminal 1 Lounge at Changi Airport, Singapore.
